She was a phlebotomist specialist at Nyack Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern and Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. She was part of HHC 369th in the National Guard, serving from 2007 to 2013 where she was fondly known as the "fearless medic" by her colleagues.
